User Functions

The three types of organisational role require three classes of user, each allocated a specific set of RC functions. Below shown that the system functions available to each role, and provides a commentary on the use of the functions. The roles are designated as follows:

• Operator - staff of the operations agency
• Master - users belonging to the master organisation
• Sharer - users belonging to the sharing participant

Private data may only be viewed by the organisation to which the data belongs or the master
organisation.
Common data may be viewed within any organisation

BAL sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
BLA sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.

General

MES sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
EXC master The master organisation should carry out all exceptions handling for all sharers.
RTE sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
QUE master This is a system wide control screen, and thus should not be given to sharers
STS sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
PRF master This is a system wide control screen, and thus should not be given to sharers
INQ sharer & master Given to a sharer, only allows the sharer to view his own messages.
Given to the master organisation allows a view of all messages.
SVC master This is a system wide control screen, and thus should not be given to sharers
PRT master This is a system wide control screen, and thus should not be given to sharers
CRT master This is a system wide control screen, and thus should not be given to sharers
TIC sharer Each sharer can operate 1 VC
OPR sharer Each sharer may add users in his own department.
CIF master & sharer The master organisation controls all updates to the CIF, the sharer may view the CIF.
Printing sharer Each sharer will have his own printers, Printer group CIFs will be set up by the master to direct messages to the sharer's printer. Control of a sharer's printers is from the STS screen.

BRANCH operator & sharer Available to sharing participant using a captive account
BNAME operator & sharer Available to sharing participant using a captive account
BANK operator & sharer Available to sharing participant using a captive account
OLDMSG operator This is a report of interest to the system administrators only
ZSCAN operator This is a report of interest to the system administrators only
SOFTKEY operator Operations must download keys for each of the sharers.
CALENDAR operator There is a single calendar file for the system
ENDS operator Single command for whole system.

Journal/ Lockstep Operator Single Command For Whole System

DATESET operator Single command for whole system.
SET_PASS operator Single command for whole system.
ARCHIVE operator The operators must produce separate archives for each of the sharers
LOADEXP operator Only a single set of message expansions may be loaded
ESTREC sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
Available to sharing participant using a captive account
RECON sharer Deals with data private to participant's organisation.
